Description

Ok so this is the first in a series of things I'm gonna make, that thing being the the 6 Echidna chiefs. Inti is the 4th of the Echidna chiefs and the mother of Pachacamac, I just wanted to draw her so that's why I started this whole thing out of order. Anyway I'm gonna jump right into the info about her.

To start of Inti's name is derived from the Incan Sun god, since Pachacamac himself gets his name from a Temple as well as a god I decided to name most of the other chiefs this way. She is the 4th chief as I said before and was succeeded by Pachamac after she passed away. She herself succeeded her Husband Vichama after he fell ill and was unable to carry out his duties as chief. In his time as Chief Vichama set out on a campaign to gain territory by destroying all of the rival tribes and stealing theirs, it was also during this time that Inti had Pachacamac. Vichamas horrible campaign earned him as well as the Knuckles tribe many enemies. After Inti took over she strove to correct this and brought about an age of (albeit strained) peace. She herself was also a very peaceful person and imparted on all others the same virtues that she believed in, most notably her grand daughter. Though she was very popular with many of the younger echidna and basically all of the female echidna, she was highly criticized by many of the older warriors, many of which openly opposed her passive attitude. Despite this she held strong to her beliefs of peace, even when faced with more violent opposition as well as attacks on the Knuckles tribe camp she always held true to her belief that peace should always champion violence.

Inti one day came upon the shrine of the Master Emerald of Echidna legend, it was when coming into contact with it she discovered Chaos; A gentle spirit and Guardian of the Master Emerald as well as the Chao at the shrine. She quickly befriended Chaos who liked her peaceful nature and interest in playing with the Chao. Chaos, feeling that he could trust her, allowed her to touch the Master Emerald. It was upon doing this that Inti felt a surge of energy rush through her body, she also heard a voice speak to her, the voice said these words: "The servers are the seven Chaos. Chaos is power, power enriched by the heart. The heart is the controller. The controller serves to unify the chaos." She did not fully understand what these words meant, but she could tell that they were important, she also knew that the Master Emerald itself housed a vast amount of power, power that could bring about ruin if left to the wrong hands. And so she decided it would be wiser to leave the Shrines location as a secret from the other Echidna, knowing that should anyone else find out nothing good would follow. She did however begin to look into the Echidna legend of the Master Emerald as well as the Chao.

For many years she kept the secret of the Master Emerald to herself not even telling her own son, she would often visit when she had the time and she would play with the Chao. It was not long after that Vichama passed away, the time he spent warring with other tribes had taken a serious toll on him, he passed away by the time Pachacamac was 10. Inti continued to lead the Knuckles tribe in peace for many years, and for many years rival tribes continued to attack the Knuckles tribe, seeing in them only weakness. The constant attack and her lack of action caused many more to begin to resent her, even her own son hated how she chose to act so passively with each attack. In this time she began to doubt herself, doubting whether or not her way was right, wondering if she was doing the right thing merely choosing to defend instead of attack. In this time of doubt she stopped visiting the Master Emerald shrine.

At the age of 16 Pachamac took his first wife and had his daughter Tikal 2 years later. While Pachacamac himself was busy as a warrior of the Knuckles tribe, Tikals mother as well as Inti were left to watch over her. Inti was distant at first, she was still lost in her self doubt. However thanks to Tikal she soon realized that she wished for Tikal to be a peaceful girl and decided that she could never teach Tikal the ways of peace if she herself did not believe in them. It was with this that she decided even if she would be scorned by the other tribesman she would continue to hold strong to her virtues so that she could stand as a beacon for her granddaughter. She resolved to make treaties with the enemy clans offering them fractions of their land should they never be attack again. This caused many to scorn her and called for her removal as chief, even her own son was baffled by this act and swore that he would get back the land she gave and even more. Up until her death Inti continued to hold peace over violence and many believed her weak for it, Inti however did not care, she knew that what was violence could not bring about anything but more violence. Teaching these same sentiments to her granddaughter Tikal, Tikal grew to be a peaceful and passive girl. She soon came to teach Tikal the Mantra that she had learned from the Master Emerald  believing that when the time came she would understand it as well.

Years after Inti would pass away and be barried in the Ruins of the Chief or past with her Husband. Pachacamac would later take over and lead to the near extinction of the Echidna people.

So yeah that's basically it for Inti, like I said before she's one of the 6 Chiefs I plan to draw, I may do the 1st Chief next and go in order from there. anyway that's all for now.
